Post Christmas Shame

So my three readers are probably on the edge of their seat as to what I did with my Christmas quandary. Well, I could go off and make this last for a while stringing you along with all kinds of stories and quotes citing strength and courage to stand against the social norm but I won't take that road.

I CAVED! With my husband's complete and active support I went and spent a shit load of money on a lot more gifts. He even got me to the mall! And Cherry Creek Mall at that. I know.. I know...I was weak. I had a wonderful Christmas and got a wonderful Christmas gift from my husband. Everyone got what they wanted and I got a piece of myself stored behind a locked door in my head, shouting out "You're just weak!"

With my conscience in tow I have spent the days after Christmas in a haze of happy memories and guilty feelings. I didn't over spend, I just didn't stay in the budget I allowed. I guess that's still something.  I have to write that to make myself feel better. As the New Year quickly approaches I have been re-evaluating my resolutions. I laugh to myself in writing this because I've always considered myself a strong willed woman but in this instance I have proven myself wrong. SO I have to work at my resolve.

I still intend to keep my balance resolution I am just shifting my focus from money to health. I will now balance my eating habits and my food intake to do what everyone in the free world is resolving to do: LOSE WEIGHT. Yes I said it.

I am going back on Isagenix. With my successful weight loss last time and the fact that I have actually kept it off even during the holiday season, I am a true believer in the product. I will attempt...yes no promises...to lose 30 pounds by July 2012. This will put me at my goal weight. I make no promises because if I lose more or a pound or two less I will not pigeon hold myself to a strict deadline. Perhaps I should but that is something I will re-evaluate as I go on.

Until next year...Have a Happy Happy New Year and my all your resolutions come true!

  1. I just love this Huggs :) And for my resolution record...I don't mind the two pounds on each butt cheek I get every time I eat a piece of CHEESECAKE :D

Isn't this over yet?!

Sometimes I just want to scream! It feels like the last 2 and half years have just taken a crap on me and my family and there seems no end in sight.  Oh let's recap shall we... 2016 was my son's first open heart surgery followed by a plethora of doctor's appointments and other surgeries. I thought it was over by the end of the year and took the advice of Whitney Houston and friends when I exhaled. However, my fun filled days were not over yet and I found myself dumbfounded by the turn of events in my life.  2017 started out fine...well not really. January brought us the bad news that our black Lab Molly Mae had cancer. It was in her bones and basically there was nothing to do but love her.  So, that's what we did. We took her home and loved her. Then, in April we were informed that my son needed to have another open heart surgery because the tissue valve that they put in was not performing the way that they thought that it would and now needed ...

16 days later...

Well, it's been sixteen days since my last post and well I can honestly say that I am totally disappointed. I thought that I would see some sort of growth but I haven't. What's worse is that my nails are so thin and weak that I had to actually cut some of my nails because they tore. Not because they grew. They were weak to begin with but at least they feel a little better. I mean I can now take a shower and the hot water doesn't hurt my fingernails. I am also a bit perplexed at the my second to the last finger. If you look close you can see the part of the nail that had solar on it and the amount of growth but my nail never got longer and this is not one of the one's that I had to trim. Things that make you go hummmm.  So here are my nails. I have been using the Nail-Aid Keratin for 16 days. It says 3 days growth but in three days I saw no growth. I have been receiving e-mails and comments suggesting that I use the O.P.I. Nail Strengthening but I refuse. ...

The Walking Dead is BACK!

I am a HUGE fan of the Walking Dead. I've seen every episode since the beginning. This season I was glad to see a little more about Michonne. They allowed us to see her past and making her a solid addition to the cast. This is something they did with most of the cast already. I admire this character because she has learned how to cope in this new Dead world and survive. In this episode we've learned of her son and her lover. I will admit that I wasn't able to gather the two guys at the table were her first zombies but I slowly got it as the dream turned.  Moving on...  I love movies and T.V. shows with strong female characters. Go Woman Power! I also think using the sword is awesome and reminds me of the movie Kill Bill with Uma Thurman. Another strong leading female role. But back to the Dead.... This season started out with Rick not looking so good and Carl kinda being a shit. I have to admit I was a little lost with his behavior. But I have lea...
