Crazy Summer Dayz

OK so I have some updates to my crazy life if anyone in the world cares to know:
  1. Today marks the 3rd week my house has been on the market. In 14 days we've had 7 showings. Not bad. Of course, not great either since we are still not under contract. Anyone want to buy a house in Colorado...shoot me an e-mail : )
  2. We are finally under contract with the house of my dreams. Absolutely love it! It has everything I want. Of course the previous owners were, well let's say, less than vigilant on the maintenance of this house. SO, I do have somethings I need to fix and change but overall, I'm pretty excited.
  3. In the middle of all this fun frenzy, we are scheduled to go to Disney World and Universal in Florida in July; and although I am looking forward to the vacation, I am still nervous about the house issue.
  4. I had my mammogram and it came back that I do not have cancer! YEAH! My whole family took a collective sigh of relief.
  5. I am still trying to beat my August deadline on my new book Veneficus. I am working hard every day and am excited about it. I have also picked up, at my husband's insistence, my old friend The Great Chase. I have been writing this thing for over ten years and am not sure it will ever get done.
So, for those of you who follow along on my crazy train...there is your update. Oh and I do have one more thing to add. As my five readers will remember, I had a friend that was less than friendly in person and I was hurt. Well, it turns out the wrong individual thought I was referring to them and has unfriended me on Facebook. It is funny how the world works. Oh well, I guess I can't miss something I apparently never had. To you my long lost friend, may your life be filled with joy and laughter, I wish you nothing but the best.

It's been three months....

Okay it's been three months since I started this journey. I had decided to stop being a slave to my fake nails and go all natural. For better or worse, I wanted to stop putting so many chemicals in and on my body and just let nature take it's course. Having said that, I knew I was in for a rough ride. For starters, I have been wearing solar/acrylic nails since I was sixteen years old. I now have a 16 year old daughter of my own, so you do the math...I will not help.  Anyway, The first two months were hard. My nails were so thin and weak that I could actually bend what little nail I had backwards without pain. So I cut my nails down to the quick and decided to start new. I first started with using Sally Hansen's Hard as Wraps but found out that they have formaldehyde in it. So I changed. I over to Nail-Aid's Keratin and 3 Minute Artificial. It is made in America and does not use formaldehyde and does NOT test on animals.  So, I saw little to no improvement...

Isagenix

As I was flipping though my June 2011 copy of Natural Health, I came across an advertisement for Isagenix. Isagenix is a "nutritional cleansing" product that has a side effect of weight loss. I have cleansed in the past and have usually purchased the kit from Walmart or Walgreen's for $25 bucks or so. Now I have always felt better after cleansing my system but weight loss was never a significant side effect. True, Ron White does have something when he asks in one of his shows "Have you ever taken a crap so big your pants fit better?" I hate to admit that when I feel full of myself that I am always happy to puck out $25 from my wallet and buy a cleansing kit. I have been struggling with my weight since I was in high school and have tried everything from Aerobics to Zumba to get fit along with every trendy diet; so when I heard of a cleansing product with a weight loss side effect I was very interested. Isn't this over yet?!

Sometimes I just want to scream! It feels like the last 2 and half years have just taken a crap on me and my family and there seems no end in sight.  Oh let's recap shall we... 2016 was my son's first open heart surgery followed by a plethora of doctor's appointments and other surgeries. I thought it was over by the end of the year and took the advice of Whitney Houston and friends when I exhaled. However, my fun filled days were not over yet and I found myself dumbfounded by the turn of events in my life.  2017 started out fine...well not really. January brought us the bad news that our black Lab Molly Mae had cancer. It was in her bones and basically there was nothing to do but love her.  So, that's what we did. We took her home and loved her. Then, in April we were informed that my son needed to have another open heart surgery because the tissue valve that they put in was not performing the way that they thought that it would and now needed ...
