Recently I have gotten a new cat. I got him back in October. My sister had her gallbladder removed and I helped her recover. While I was at her duplex I saw a beautiful black and white (what looked like) kitten. The nights are now getting really cold and the temperature average is about 30 and below. On the third day, the cat came to my sister's door and meowed. My heart melted and I picked up the cat. He purred and I fell in love. Shortly after, I had my sister make inquiries around the complex to ensure that the cat didn't already belong to anyone. It seems that everyone knew this cat but no one owned him. With winter on the way, my heart went out to him and I took him home.
I took him to the vet, got him all his shots and gave him a good home. Now, I already have a cat. Milo on the Downlo, is his name. The new cat was for my daughter who has been bugging me to get her her own kitty. After a month, it seemed like the cats were getting along and that all was well in the home.
NOT TRUE!
Binx, that's what my daughter named the new cat, has started peeing, not spraying, peeing everywhere. He especially likes to pee ON MY BED! I am not happy about this. Now having said that, the cat is not neutered and is scheduled to get neutered this week coming. I am hoping that that solves the problem. So that's the "pee" part to my title.
The puke part comes now. My cat, Milo, has been hocking up, who knows what, for the past three days. It doesn't actually come out. He gets that glossy look in his eyes, then the regurgitating sound comes and then the cacking sound of puke. On the bright side he always manages to re swallow it before it comes out of his mouth. Eeww.
1. a kid throwing up all over me in the middle of the night and then crying or
2. the sound of my cat, who is laying right next to my face, heaving up and then the cack of the actual stuff hitting the sheets. Oh and don't forget that smell.
Anyway, he too is going to the vet. I looked on Jackson Galaxy's website and tried to see if there were any tips I could pick up that would help. We bought larger litter boxes just in case the old ones were too small. We have two litter boxes one for each cat, although they use each other's boxes anyway. And we clean them out every day. I am hoping that the neutering will be the key. If not, we are going to have to figure out something. I don't know about any one else but I DON'T like sleeping in a pissed on mattress that smells.
Until next time...
